Superior, Nebraska

In 1993 this 100-foot wall mural depicting a typical Victorian street and business logos from early Superior, was designed and painted by Anne Beeson, an art teacher at the Clarkson Public Schools. It incorporates features of 15 historic buildings in the town.

It was partially funded by a grant from the Nebraska Arts Council. Inscribed bricks forming the walkway were sold for $25 each and tourism funds and donations covered the remaining expenses. The mural was featured by a national photographer in his book, "America, Portrait of a Nation."
